Who Runs TrivCentral

TrivCentral is put together by a team of quiz writers and editors who publish daily. Between us we cover general knowledge, science, entertainment and the brain teasers that make people put their coffee down.

We work as a group rather than as separate desks. Questions get written by one person and checked by another, which is the simplest safeguard we know of against publishing something confidently wrong.

What We Publish

A fresh daily quiz, themed question sets across our categories, and longer explainers for the things that deserve more than four answer options — why diamonds aren’t rare, why paper cuts hurt so much, how penicillin was actually discovered.

The daily quiz is the heartbeat. The articles are for when a question makes you want the whole story.

From Idea to Quiz

Question ideas come from reading widely and from players who send us things. We check the underlying fact, write the question, build distractors that are plausible enough to be a real challenge, and pass it to an editor. Nothing publishes on one person’s say-so.

For articles, the same principle applies with more research time and a closer read before it goes out.

The Standards Behind the Fun

A quiz is a promise that the answer is correct. We take that seriously even when the subject is light. We check claims against reliable sources, we’re careful with facts that sound too neat, and we’d rather drop a great question than publish a shaky one.
